Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces. The role is home-based with a 40-hour week, Monday to Saturday, offering a strong earnings potential via overtime and bonuses.

You will diagnose and fix issues on EVs and conventional vehicles, maintain records, and deliver quality service to clients across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair (Level 3 preferred).
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at the customer's location (driveway or car park).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Handle payments through card transactions.
• Keep up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Keep accurate records of all work and parts used.
