Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers' homes or workplaces across Bournemouth. This permanent full-time role is home-based, 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, 8am–8pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles at customer locations, including EVs.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and recommendations.
• Process payments via card transactions.
• Keep up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
