Job summary
Octane Recruitment is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles at customers' homes or workplaces across the Bournemouth area. The role is permanent full-time, working 40 hours over five days (Monday to Saturday) with an on-call overtime option.
You will earn a base salary of about £40,170 with an OTE up to £52,000, plus overtime and bonus opportunities. This home-based position requires Level 2 (ideally Level 3) in light vehicle maintenance, a valid UK licence, and at
Qualifications
- Must have Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
- Full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing vehicles at customer locations including EVs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections).
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
- Communicate with customers about repair recommendations.
- Payment handling through card transactions.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
