Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd in Uxbridge is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join a well-established fleet maintenance operation. You will carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to keep customer fleets safe, compliant, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy and basic administration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Diagnose faults accurately and complete repairs in line with warranty requirements.
• Attend customer sites to perform maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Complete job cards, service records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of mechanical and electrical workmanship.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Support continuous improvement and undertake training to develop multi-skilled capabilities.
• Work as part of a team to meet targets and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Safe Systems procedures.
• Report accidents, hazards and near misses according to company policy.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and correct PPE usage.

You'll play a key role in ensuring a customer fleet remains safe, compliant, and operational through high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repair work.

The Role as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure maximum fleet availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repairs on customer vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose faults accurately and complete repairs in line with warranty requirements.
• Attend customer sites to perform maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Complete job cards, service records and associated documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of mechanical and electrical workmanship.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake training to develop multi-skilled capabilities.
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve operational and customer service targets.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental and Safe Systems of Work procedures.
• Report accidents, hazards and near misses in line with company procedures.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure correct use of PPE and company uniform.

What We're Looking For:

Essential

• Mechanical experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate with good administration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence, maximum 6 points
• Flexible approach to travel between depots when required.

Desirable

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering certifications.
• Previous experience within fleet maintenance
