Job summary

Holt-Recruitment seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician in Dartford to service and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles on-site. You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and ensure high-quality workmanship to return vehicles to service quickly.

NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and a full UK driving licence are required, along with strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently with good time management. Ongoing training and career progression available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections at customer sites and roadside locations.
• Diagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs on commercial vehicles.
• Respond to scheduled maintenance and breakdown call-outs within your area.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and company standards.
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately and efficiently.

Job Title: Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: Dartford

Salary: £39,729 - £45,729 per annum

Shift Pattern: Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections at customer sites and roadside locations.
• Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs on a range of commercial vehicles.
• Responding to scheduled maintenance and breakdown call-outs within your designated area.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
• Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately and efficiently.
• Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
• Managing and maintaining your company van, tools and equipment.
• Working closely with the workshop and service teams to ensure vehicles are returned to service quickly and safely.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mobile Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to support operational requirements when needed.
