Job summary

Halfords is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the Mobile Expert team in Derby, Derbyshire. You’ll work from a fully equipped van, delivering workshop-quality servicing and repairs at customers' homes and workplaces while building trusted relationships and taking control of your day.

With a base salary of £31,025–£33,725 and a monthly bonus scheme, you can earn total on-target earnings up to £33,725 per year. The role offers training, progression and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Proven experience in a vehicle servicing & maintenance role.
• Great communication skills and confidence dealing with customers.

Responsibilities

• Battery and Dashcam fitting.
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics.
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing.

Working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart technology, you'll manage your own day, build trusted customer relationships and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work, helping to keep the nation moving.

• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services
• Battery and Dashcam fitting
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing
• Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing

What we’re looking for
