Job summary

The AA in Luton is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to service and repair customers' vehicles at their home or workplace. You’ll diagnose faults, perform servicing and repairs, and explain technical information clearly while managing your day and jobs independently to maintain high workmanship and service.

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or accepted equivalent) with strong hands‑on experience is required, along with a full UK driving licence and flexibility to work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or accepted equivalent)
• Strong vehicle servicing and repair experience
• Relevant experience as a mechanic in workshop, dealership or mobile environment
• Full manual UK Category B driving licence with up to six points

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers' homes or workplaces
• Diagnose faults where appropriate
• Use technical knowledge to identify problems and find solutions
• Explain repairs and technical information clearly to customers
• Manage your day and scheduled jobs independently
