Job summary

The AA is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic in Birmingham. You will service and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces, diagnose faults, and explain technical details clearly to customers, while managing your day and jobs independently on the road.

You will be supported with tools and technology to deliver high-quality work and first-class service, while enjoying the independence of mobile work and a five‑day week.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair with strong servicing experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with strong diagnostics and repair experience.
• Full UK Category B driving licence with up to six points.
• Willingness to work rota including Saturdays.
• Customer-focused professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers' homes or workplaces.
• Diagnose faults where appropriate.
• Use technical knowledge to identify problems and solutions.
• Explain repairs and technical information clearly to customers.
• Manage your day and scheduled jobs independently.
• Deliver high workmanship and customer service.
