Job summary

The AA is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic for Oxford, applying hands-on servicing and repair work at customers’ homes or workplaces. You will diagnose faults, explain repairs clearly, and manage your day with minimal supervision, delivering high workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Qualified applicants will have NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), strong diagnostic skills, and a clean UK driving licence. A flexible rota, including Saturdays, is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent for Level 2 role.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent for Level 3 role.
• Full UK manual Category B driving licence with no more than six points.
• Relevant experience as a mechanic in workshop, dealership or mobile environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces.
• Diagnose faults where appropriate.
• Explain repairs and technical information clearly to customers.
• Manage your day and scheduled jobs independently.
• Deliver high standard of workmanship and customer service.
