Job summary

The AA is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to service customers at homes or workplaces across the local area. You’ll handle inspections, diagnostics, servicing and on-the-spot repairs, supported by full training and remote guidance when needed.

You will work a 40-hour week on a 5-day rota, with shifts from 8am to 8pm, and optional overtime or incentives. A company van, uniform and tools are provided, along with generous holiday and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend booked appointments and breakdowns for inspections and repairs.
• Explain diagnostics clearly to customers.
• Work independently across multiple locations as a mobile AA technician.
