Job summary

The AA is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic in the United Kingdom to service and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces. You’ll diagnose faults, explain repairs clearly and manage your day’s schedule with independence, backed by the AA’s tools and support.

Earn guaranteed £41,000–£43,000, plus up to £2,000 performance incentive and a £1,000 sign-on bonus. Typical shifts are 8am–8pm, five days a week, including some Saturdays, with a total of 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a mechanic in a workshop, dealership or mobile role.
• NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (Level 3 for higher role).
• Full UK manual Category B driving licence with up to six points.
• Flexibility to work the advertised rota, including Saturdays.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces.
• Diagnose faults where appropriate and identify effective solutions.
• Explain repairs and technical information clearly to customers.
• Manage your day and scheduled jobs independently.
• Deliver high workmanship and customer service standards.
• Work with the AA’s tools, technology and support on the road.
