Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Edinburgh is seeking a motivated Mobile Smart Repair Technician to service our vehicle stock across the region. You will travel between locations, using a fully equipped repair vehicle, and deliver high-quality cosmetic repairs to a range of vehicles.

The role is full-time, 44 hours per week, with generous leave and a dual focus on performance bonuses up to £9,000 every three years, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in smart repair or spray painting.
• Excellent eye for detail and pride in high-quality work.
• Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paintwork (masking).
• Carry out minor damage repairs.
• Polish to remove defects and mix/apply paint as required.
• Apply paint products to a high standard.

Job description

We're currently recruiting for a motivated Mobile Smart Repair Technician to work across the Edinburgh region.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm

About the role

As a Mobile Smart Repair technician, you'll travel around various locations, carrying out smart repairs to our vehicle sales stock to an excellent standard. You'll be fully mobile, with access to one of our fully equipped smart repair vehicles.

The right person for the job will be energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to work on their own initiative, and excellent people skills. What's more, you'll have a great eye for detail and take pride in doing a meticulous job.

Day-to-day duties

• Preparing vehicles for paintwork (including masking)
• Carrying out minor damage repairs
• Polishing to remove defects from vehicle paintworkMixing paint to apply to vehicles
• Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard

Essential skills

• A full UK driving licence
• Smart repair/Spray painting experience
• An excellent eye for detail
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to work on your own initiative
