Job summary

Wrightbus is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to deliver outstanding aftersales support across the United Kingdom. You will be the primary contact for customers, diagnosing faults and completing repairs with a focus on world-class service.

You will handle warranty work, share root cause analyses, and promote Wrightbus parts. Training includes EV and Hydrogen systems, with on-site support across locations and a company van provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle or PSV Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year experience in a heavy vehicle/PSV environment, dealership, or fleet.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends or alternative shifts on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and Wrightbus manuals.
• Performing warranty and campaign repairs in line with company procedures.
• Communicating root cause analysis and repair estimates to the Parts & Service Team.
• Promoting Wrightbus parts and services to customers.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
• Supporting customers on-site and at various locations as required.
• Participating in ongoing training, including factory-based and EV/Hydrogen systems.

This is a customer-facing role where youll be instrumental in ensuring Wrightbus remains the preferred supplier through the delivery of world-class service.

What Youll Do:

As a Mobile Service Engineer, youll be the primary point of contact for customers, resolving vehicle faults efficiently and professionally. Youll build strong relationships, offer expert advice, and ensure technical issues are resolved with minimal disruption.
