Job summary

Frontier is seeking a Mobile Seed Plant Operator to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis, based at Hermitage. You will operate the mobile seed plant to clean and treat products, and service the equipment to required standards on customer sites.

A full UK driving licence is required; HGV Class 2 is an advantage with full training. The role involves supervising support staff, organising loads of chemicals and bags, and assisting the Site Manager as workload allows.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required; HGV Class 2 would be an advantage but full training will be given to the successful candidate
• Previous Agricultural, Mechanical or grain handling experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the successful candidate (PA1 & PA11 - Seed Treatment Handling & Application)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
• Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively

Responsibilities

• Running the mobile seed plant to clean and treat various products
• Servicing the mobile seed plant to the required standards
• Supervising support staff whilst operating on the customers premises and on site
• Assisting the Site Manager as workload requires
• Organising the loading of chemical and bag requirements on to vehicles, as per customer orders
• Organising your own workload and, at times, working unsupervised
