Job summary

Frontier Agriculture Limited in Hermitage, UK, is seeking a Mobile Seed Plant Operator on a permanent, full-time basis. You will plan your daily workload and drive to farms to process Farm Saved Seed, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

The role also involves maintaining mobile and site machinery, adhering to Health & Safety, and working with site staff to meet customer orders. Full UK driving licence required; PA1/PA11 training will be provided.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence is required.
PA1 & PA11 seed treatment handling & application training provided.
Previous agricultural, mechanical, or grain handling experience is advantageous, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Run the mobile seed plant to clean and treat various products.
Service the mobile seed plant to the required standards.
Supervise support staff whilst operating on the customer’s premises and on site.
Assist the Site Manager as workload requires.
Organise loading of chemicals and bag requirements onto vehicles as per customer orders.
Organise your own workload and, at times, work unsupervised.
