Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a on-site Security Officer to manage the day-to-day operations and be the first point of contact for the security team. You will ensure standards of dress, discipline and conduct are met and oversee handovers and security logs.

You will assist in training teams, operate CCTV and access control systems, and support investigations while maintaining a high level of reliability, attendance and timekeeping. A strong customer liaison focus is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day security operations on site.
• Be the first point of contact for the Security team and manage dress, discipline, and conduct.
• Assist in training resident security teams and induct new officers to site procedures including CCTV, access control, deliveries and removals, and alarms.
• Foster teamwork and maintain high morale through effective motivational methods.
• Assist in reviewing security officers' performance and development.
• Support security/equipment investigations (thefts, missing items, complaints).
• Provide customer/client liaison as required and ensure clear handovers and messages are read.
