Job summary

Orion Education seeks a Site Assistant to support our schools on a mobile basis across Southeast London and Kent. You will assist the Estates team to maintain safety, cleanliness and high standards of property for pupils and staff.

Role involves repairs, lettings support, emergencies response, minibus checks and building opening/closing. A full clean driving licence is essential and a Trust vehicle is provided for business use.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repair abilities.
• Full clean driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel across multiple sites in Southeast England.
• DBS check required before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and DIY tasks as directed.
• Support schools during staff absences.
• Respond to site emergencies in a prompt and safe manner.
• Assist with lettings and event use of school facilities.
• Undertake minibus checks and basic vehicle duties.
• Provide an extra pair of hands to on‑site teams as needed.
• Open and close school buildings as required.
