Job summary

Vertas in the Newark area is seeking a Mobile Head of Kitchen to lead catering across multiple sites. You will prepare, cook and serve high quality meals, manage day-to-day kitchen operations and supervise catering teams, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role is part-time (25 hours per week, Mon-Fri 08:30-13:30) across 39.2 weeks per year with travel between sites. A full UK driving licence and own transport are essential to fulfil mobile responsibilities and deliver excellent customer

About the Role:

Working across the Newark area, you will be working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 13:30, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in leading catering operations across multiple sites, ensuring the delivery of high quality meals and excellent customer service standards. As this is a mobile role, you will be required to travel between locations as required.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a Head of Kitchen, Cook Manager or similar catering role
• Experience working within a school or commercial kitchen environment
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• A passion for delivering high quality food and customer service
• The ability to work independently and use initiative
• Excellent communication and team management skills
• The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
