Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a Head of Kitchen at St Botolph's Primary School, Diss, IP22 1DW, to lead the school catering team. This role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–2pm, term time plus 3 PD days.

You will deliver nutritious meals to pupils and staff, ensure food safety compliance, manage orders and stock, and supervise kitchen staff. The ideal candidate has leadership experience, knowledge of food safety standards, and the ability to work independently as part of a team.

About the Role:

Based at St Botolph's Primary School, Diss, IP22 1DW, you will be working 30 hours a week, Mon - Fri 8am - 2pm, term time + 3 PD days, 38.6 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in ensuring the delivery of nutritious meals and compliance with food safety standards.

Your responsibilities will include

• Manage the day-to-day running of the school kitchen and small team
• Prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff, 80 - 100 meals per day
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
