Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a Mobile Catering Officer to train staff, conduct inductions and cover shifts across school catering services. The role requires flexibility to attend schools as needed and to work during term-time, Monday to Friday.

Experience in high-volume meal production, strong knowledge of food safety and the ability to lead staff under tight deadlines are essential. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

Experience of producing high quality/high volume meals in accordance with nutritional guidelines.
Knowledge of legislation in relation to food safety, health and safety and working practices in a commercial kitchen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a highly demanding, diverse environment.
A positive attitude and the willingness to lead and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

Undertake staff inductions and provide training to operational staff within the School Catering Service.
Cover staff absences for all operational roles to ensure continuity of service.
Attend Primary or Secondary Schools during the working day as required, including term-time only schedules.
