Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team across Chesterfield locations. This part‑time role offers 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with early morning and late afternoon shifts, year‑round, delivering reliable caretaking and cleaning services to schools and communal areas.

You will be responsible for unlocking and locking sites, general cleaning, basic maintenance checks, and ensuring all areas are kept hygienic and safe.

Qualifications

• Team player providing excellent service across facilities and caretaking.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unlocking and locking up of sites
• Cleaning classrooms, corridors and communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting
• Cleaning toilets and replenishing supplies
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste
• Maintaining hygiene and safety of all areas
• Carrying out basic checks and light maintenance
• Supporting overall site cleanliness and presentation
