Job summary

Vertas Group in Buxton is seeking a Mobile Caretaker to join our Facilities Team. This part-time role covers 18.5 hours per week with split shifts across Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm, delivering high-quality caretaking, maintenance, and hygiene standards.

You will help maintain heating, lighting, alarms, safety records, and cleaning duties while prioritising service for customers and colleagues. Experience with cleaning machines and a willingness to train on Health and Safety are valued,

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication in a similar setting.
Full clean manual driving licence.
Team player delivering an excellent service across the Vertas Group.
Ability to make decisions with Vertas in mind.
Willingness to attend training including Health and Safety; DBS checks may be required.

Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
Carry out and record basic checks and maintain Health and Safety records.
Monitor site stocks and undertake cleaning duties.
Attend training courses including Health and Safety; all training provided.
Clean during office closed hours; operate cleaning machines as needed.
PAT Testing experience desirable; basic maintenance knowledge helpful for painting, repairs, and notices.
