Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a Retail Area Support Officer to safeguard multiple retail locations, including New Milton and Verwood. The role emphasizes a visible security posture, customer service, and incident response across a mobile, multi-site environment.

You will patrol stores, monitor CCTV, conduct searches as per policy, and report incidents while staying flexible to cover varied shifts and locations within the regional network.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence - Door Supervisor required.
• Right to work in the UK is essential.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
• Willingness to travel between sites and work across multiple locations.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong, visible security presence to deter theft and ensure safety across stores.
• Conduct regular patrols of store premises and monitor CCTV and security systems.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and escalate as needed.
• Complete accurate incident and observation reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with store teams to address security concerns and support loss prevention.
• Provide a professional, approachable presence for customers, staff, and visitors.
