Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking professional Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. You will provide a notable security presence, patrol stores, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents and assist customers while maintaining high service standards.

As a mobile officer, you will travel between sites, cover varied shifts and work evenings, weekends and holidays. The role combines security duties with excellent customer-facing service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 checks.
• Valid SIA Licence (DS or Security Guarding) and security experience required.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Retail security or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong observation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Flexible to work across multiple locations and shifts.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across store floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports promptly and accurately.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist with queries.
• De-escalate confrontations safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, legal and client procedures.
• Travel between sites as required to support operations.
