Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations. You will deter theft, patrol stores, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents and deliver excellent customer service. Flexibility to travel between sites and work varied shifts is essential.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, Right to Work in the UK, DBS clearance and a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. Join a leading facilities management company with TRUE values.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced DBS and BS7858.
• Valid SIA Licence (DS or Security Guarding) and relevant security experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Experience in retail security or customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Strong observation and decision-making skills.
• Confident handling confrontation and conflict situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols across shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Carry out searches in line with policy and law.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and prevent loss.
• Produce clear incident reports promptly.
• Deliver professional customer service and assist queries.
• De-escalate situations calmly and safely.
• Ensure health & safety, legal and client procedures compliance.
• Travel between sites as required and support wider security ops.
