Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking professional Mobile Retail Security Officers to support multiple supermarket locations across Scotland. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where no two days are the same.

You will deter theft, patrol premises, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and deliver a confident, courteous customer experience. A valid SIA licence, right to work in the UK, and DBS/BS7858 clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have SIA Licence (DS or SL) and relevant security experience.
• Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass DBS/BS7858 checks.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
• Retail security or customer-facing experience preferred.
• Strong observation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-profile security presence to deter theft and incidents.
• Patrol shop floors, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor CCTV and identify suspicious activity in real time.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies quickly.
• Carry out searches in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Liaise with store management to address risks and loss prevention.
• Produce clear incident reports promptly.
• Deliver a professional customer experience and assist queries.
• De-escalate confrontations safely.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and client procedures.
• Travel between sites and support wider security operations.
