Job summary

Octave Recruitment Ltd in Hastings is looking for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join a housing repairs and maintenance team based in Hastings. You will manage responsive repairs and void works, carry out pre- and post-inspections, assess defects and prepare detailed specifications, and oversee contractors to ensure works meet relevant statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.

The role is a 3+ month contract with a daily umbrella rate of £214.39, with start ASAP in

Qualifications

• Experience as Building/Maintenance Surveyor in a maintenance environment.
• Experience carrying out pre- and post-inspections.
• Experience working with contractors.
• Knowledge of SOR and non-SOR contracts.
• Experience preparing detailed specifications of works.
• Good knowledge of building construction, defects, materials and remedial works.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join a housing repairs and maintenance team based in Hastings.

Contract: 3 months+

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing a responsive repairs and void surveying service, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard and that all works meet relevant statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.

About You:

• At least 2 years' experience as a Building/Maintenance Surveyor within a maintenance environment
• Experience carrying out pre- and post-inspections
• Experience working with contractors
• Knowledge of SOR and non-SOR contracts
• Experience preparing detailed specifications of works
• Good knowledge of building construction, defects, materials and remedial works
• Knowledge of relevant Building Regulations, H&S legislation and codes of practice
• Experience in contract and contractor management
