Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a skilled Plasterer to work across occupied social housing properties in Tower Hamlets. The role offers a full-time permanent contract, with a company van, fuel card, and uniform, plus 25 days leave. 42.5 hours per week, typically 8-5, Monday to Friday.

You will perform plastering repairs, skims, and patch work while maintaining high customer service in residents’ homes. The successful candidate will have domestic plastering experience, be comfortable working

Qualifications

• Proven experience in domestic plastering and repairs.
• Experience with Artex repairs.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Able to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service in occupied homes.
• Good health and safety knowledge and practices.
• Able to use handheld devices/job management systems to record work.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plastering repairs in occupied properties.
• Complete patch repairs to walls and ceilings after leaks or other trades.
• Apply full skim coats to walls and ceilings where required.
• Make good around door frames, windows, sockets, and pipework.
• Prepare surfaces for a smooth, durable finish.
• Record job details and materials used using handheld devices.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and protect residents’ belongings.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company standards.
