Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Must have a Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.
• Experience with PTO, tail lifts, hydraulics or mobile roadside repairs is advantageous.
• Practical experience in vehicle maintenance at customer sites is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, maintain and repair utility vehicles at customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, including PTO systems and tail lifts.
• Conduct safety checks and compliance verifications on vehicles.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and document hours and parts used.
• Communicate with the service team to coordinate repairs and work independently.

• Servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on utility vehicles at customer sites
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, including PTO systems, hydraulic power packs, tail lifts, vehicle-mounted cranes, and winches
• Conducting vehicle safety and compliance checks
• Responding promptly to breakdowns and urgent repair requests
• Completing detailed job reports via tablet, including photographs, hours worked, and parts used
• Communicating effectively with the service team to coordinate repairs
• Working independently at customer locations, adhering to safety standards Requirements:
• Qualified to IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; practical experience considered
• Full UK driving licence
• Own hand tools
• Comfortable working independently at various customer sites
• Experience with PTO systems, tail lifts, hydraulics, or mobile roadside repairs is advantageous but not essential
• Suitable for ex-forces personnel or Mobile Plant Mechanics seeking a career change with relevant mechanical skills Working hours are 45 per week, Monday to Friday, with paid meal breaks.

Typical shifts start between 7:00 and 8:00 am.
