Job summary

Plantexpand is seeking a mobile plant engineer to service pumps, generators, excavators and other site plant around Gloucester. You will work from a fully stocked van and record each job to keep assets compliant.

45 hours per week with overtime, on-call pay, a company pension and staff events; salary £38,000 to £41,000 with discretionary bonus and van/fuel card.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators or small plant and ability to work on any one of these.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Happy working on your own and on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain plant on customer sites in and around Gloucester.
• Find the fault and fix it first time.
• Carry out LOLER thorough examinations on lifting equipment and keep records to stay compliant.

Run your own patch around Gloucester from a fully stocked van, with the job history in your hand before you arrive. Plantexpand keeps the plant and vehicles behind the UK's water, power, gas and telecoms networks working. What you'll need

• Hands‑on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators or small plant. Experience on any one of these is enough to apply

Hours

45 hours a week, plus 2.5 hours of paid meal breaks across the week. You are paid door to door, from when you leave home.

• £38,000 to £41,000 a year, plus overtime and enhanced overtime
  
• Discretionary monthly performance bonus: £200 on target, up to £500 at stretch, based on company targets
  
• £200 a week when you are on the on-call rota, plus enhanced overtime and call‑out payments
