Job summary

SER-IN is seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to service and repair plant machinery across Oxford and surrounding areas. You will travel to client sites, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform preventative maintenance with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£19.50–£21) and a 40-hour week, with overtime, a company van for work and personal use, plus pension and private health insurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plant engineer or mobile engineer.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Qualifications in engineering or plant maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Full UK driving license.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the northern region to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve faults.
• Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
• Maintain and manage the company-provided van, ensuring it is stocked with necessary tools and parts.
• Attend manufacturer training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and machinery.

Join a leading global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of plant machinery as a Mobile Plant Engineer. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team, covering Oxford and surrounding areas. Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Provide exceptional customer service while working on-site at client locations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
