Job summary

ENS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer to service and repair a range of customer sites in the Gloucester area. You will inspect trailers, towing systems, brakes, and lighting, with some pump work on plant equipment.

Basic salary is £38-41k with monthly bonuses after probation. You will need your own tools; specialist tooling can be supplied. LOLER training is ideal, and pre-booked job sheets will be communicated from Head Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in mobile plant or vehicle repair on customer sites.
• Own tools are required; specialist tooling can be supplied if needed (e.g., torque wrench and testing gauges).
• LOLER training is ideal; training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Good understanding of PUWER, towing law, brakes, and couplings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs on customer sites for trailers and plant equipment.
• Inspections related to trailers, towing, brakes, lighting, and coupling systems.
• Cover agricultural/vegetation plant like mowers, woodchippers, tractors; some pump work.

Job description

Due to company growth, we are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Engineer in the Gloucester (South West) area. Basic salary £38-41k and after probationary period you are then eligible for their monthly bonuses.

Our client offers their customers an all-in-one, go-to destination for vehicle and plant repairs and maintenance. As a Plant Engineer you will be responsible for multiple customer's sites ensuring excellent customer service and a high standard of servicing and repairs on their customer's sites.

This role will involve Trailer and towing inspection. PUWER, towing law, brakes, coupling, lighting. Agricultural and vegetation plant: mowers, woodchippers, tractors. Some pump work.

Services and repair work will be carried out on a variety of assets including but not limited to:

• Trailers
• Winches
• Dumpers
• Diggers
• Skimmers
• Telehandler
• Manitou plus some smaller equipment
• Pallet trucks
• Pumps

Being LOLER trained is ideal, but training can be given.

All jobs are pre-booked for you via their Head Office team. Job sheets and bookings are all communicated via tablet.

The candidate is required to have their own tools, but specialist tooling can be supplied if required i.e torque wrench and testing gauges.
