Job summary

Plantexpand is seeking a field service engineer to service, repair and maintain pumps, generators and other site plant on customer sites around Cookham. You will travel in a stocked van, log every job and ensure first-time fixes whenever possible.

You'll need hands-on maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence and the ability to work alone on site. The package includes £38,000–£41,000 base salary plus overtime, on-call pay, a company van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work on-site and out on customer sites.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance is a plus.

Run your own patch around Cookham from a fully stocked van, with the job history in your hand before you arrive. Plantexpand keeps the plant and vehicles behind the UK's water, power, gas and telecoms networks working. Around 95% of our work is done on site, from vans stocked for the job, and our engineers fix first time on more than 90% of jobs, with an eight bay workshop and a planning team behind them.

What you'll need

• Hands-on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators or small plant. Experience on any one of these is enough to apply

Hours

45 hours a week, plus 2.5 hours of paid meal breaks across the week. You are paid door to door, from when you leave home.

• £38,000 to £41,000 a year, plus overtime and enhanced overtime
  
• Discretionary monthly performance bonus: £200 on target, up to £500 at stretch, based on company targets
