Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Plant Fitter to service telehandlers and other plant machinery across the Midlands. Base salary £37,518 with OTE £56,758–£71,188, 39 hours per week, overtime paid at 1.5x, and door-to-door pay.

Key duties include fault-finding on electrical and hydraulic systems, diagnosing faults, planning workloads, and working with the engineering team on-site. Applicants should have plant fitter or agricultural engineering experience and a valid UK driving licence;

• Strong electrical fault-finding skills and hydraulic fault-finding skills
• Experience working on telehandlers is essential

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic faults
• Attending customer sites across the Midlands
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Ensuring machinery is maintained to a safe and reliable standard
• Managing your own workload and completing jobs efficiently
• Working closely with the wider engineering team

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on telehandlers
• Working on other plant machinery including occasional diggers and dumpers
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic faults
• Attending customer sites across the Midlands
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Ensuring machinery is maintained to a safe and reliable standard
• Managing your own workload and completing jobs efficiently
• Working closely with the wider engineering team

Experience you will need:

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar
• Strong electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
• Experience working on telehandlers is essential
• Relevant engineering qualifications are preferred
• Full UK driving licence
• Candidates based within the Midlands are preferred

Your Package:

• Basic Salary: £37,518
• OTE: £48,000–£55,000+ depending on overtime
• Hours: 39 hours per week, 8:00am–4:30pm, with additional hours available
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
• Overtime Availability: Typically 10-20 hours per week available
• 10 hours overtime: £56,758 OTE
• 20 hours overtime: £71,188 OTE
