Job summary

Gold Group is seeking Mobile Multi Skilled Engineers (Electrical or Mechanical bias) to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical plant in the South of England, including on-call duties. A relevant qualification and 18th Edition are required, with a UK driving licence. DBS check is part of the role.

The position offers a salary of 44,700 plus a van and fuel card, with generous annual leave and various employee benefits and learning opportunities.

Mobile Multi Skilled Engineers x 3 headcount (1 Electrical Bias, 1 Mechanical Bias, 1 Multiskilled)

South of England (South London and surrounding areas)

Brief

Multi Skilled Engineers needed for a large, well-known facilities Management organisation based in the South of England who are looking to employ experienced and well-rounded Multi Skilled Engineers that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical plant, services and physical assets including testing and routine fault finding.

The successful candidate would need to have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical bias, 18th Edition etc. - and have a keen interest in Multi-Skilled Engineering. If you have commercial experience in Facilities management that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Multi Skilled Engineers will include:

• Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacements across plant and equipment, responding promptly to emergency breakdowns including participation in an on-call rota.
• Supervise and manage third-party contractor work as required, ensuring work meets health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records via CAFM systems and electronic reporting tools, provide input into condition and dilapidation reports, and liaise effectively with clients to ensure excellent customer service.

What experience you need to be the successful Multi Skilled Engineers:

• Possess a recognised apprenticeship (EITB/CITB) or relevant technical qualifications, with City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical/mechanical disciplines.
• Hold an 18th Edition Electrical Certification and full UK driving licence.
• Experienced in M&E services within commercial or corporate environments, familiar with CAFM systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Awareness of Legionella control (L8) and working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• (Desirable) Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH/IOSH) and experience working with multiple manufacturer systems and equipment

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
