Gold Group is recruiting for Mobile Multi Skilled Engineers in the South of England. You will perform maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant, handle fault finding, and support on-site operations for a large facilities management client.

The role requires an apprenticeship or City & Guilds in relevant disciplines, 18th Edition, and a UK driving licence. A van and fuel card accompany a 44,700 GBP salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or City & Guilds in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• 18th Edition Electrical Certification and full UK driving licence.
• Experience in M&E services within commercial environments and CAFM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacements across plant and equipment, including on-call duties.
• Supervise and manage third-party contractor work, ensuring health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records via CAFM systems and liaise with clients for good service.
• Contribute to condition and dilapidation reports and support stakeholders as needed.

Brief

Multi Skilled Engineers needed for a large, well-known facilities Management organisation based in the South of England who are looking to employ experienced and well-rounded Multi Skilled Engineers that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical plant, services and physical assets including testing and routine fault finding.

The successful candidate would need to have a relevant qualification - i.e. NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical bias, 18th Edition etc. - and have a keen interest in Multi-Skilled Engineering. If you have commercial experience in Facilities management that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Multi Skilled Engineers will include:

• Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacements across plant and equipment, responding promptly to emergency breakdowns including participation in an on-call rota.
• Supervise and manage third-party contractor work as required, ensuring work meets health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records via CAFM systems and electronic reporting tools, provide input into condition and dilapidation reports, and liaise effectivey with clients to ensure excellent customer service.What experience you need to be the successful Multi Skilled Engineers:

• Possess a recognised apprenticeship (EITB/CITB) or relevant technical qualifications, with City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical/mechanical disciplines.
• Hold an 18th Edition Electrical Certification and full UK driving licence.
• Experienced in M&E services within commercial or corporate environments, familiar with CAFM systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Awareness of Legionella control (L8) and working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• (Desirable) Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH/IOSH) and experience working with multiple manufacturer systems and equipmentThis role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
