PRS is recruiting a Mobile Mechanical Engineer in Birmingham to perform mechanical maintenance, PPM and reactive tasks on commercial and education estates across the Midlands. Mon-Fri days, 40 hours, with on-call and overtime.

A van and fuel card are provided with private healthcare and call-out allowances. The role requires a City and Guilds qualification in Heating & Ventilation or Plumbing or an equivalent apprenticeship, plus relevant maintenance experience and a valid driving license.

• Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical training
• Experience of maintenance - PPM and reactive works

Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance Relating to Mechanical Building Services Plant and Systems.
• Maintenance, fault finding and repair of mechanical plant to current standards and contract specifications.
• Maintenance and monitoring of domestic hot and cold-water services - L8 awareness.
• Submitting concise and accurate reports of work carried out and time spent.
• Ownership of site logbooks and record keeping for designated sites.
• Provide details for further recommended works with required information for office action.
• Support wider team with out-of-hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.

Up to £40,000 per annum plus van, fuel card, private healthcare, call out, overtime

We are recruiting for a Mechanical MaintenanceEngineer to complete electrical PPM and reactive works on commercial and education estates across the Midlands. Permanent position paying circa £38 - £40,000 plus overtime. On-call with standby payment. Mon-Fri days 40 hours per week. Van and fuel card supplied, private healthcare (single cover).

Main duties

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance relating primarily to Mechanical Building Services Plant and System's in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
• Maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of mechanical plant, working to current standards and the contract specification.
• Maintenance and monitoring of domestic hot and cold-water services - L8 awareness (domestic water systems).
• Submitting concise & accurate reports of work carried out & time spent on tasks.
• Ownership of site logbooks and record keeping for your designated sites.
• Providing details for further recommended works, including all the required information for office personnel to action.
• Support the wider team with out of hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

Skills & Background Required

• Ideally to have good multi skilled experience
• Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
• Valid driving license
