Job summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Technician to cover Birmingham contracts, performing PPM and reactive maintenance for commercial and educational properties. You must have mechanical maintenance background and relevant qualifications, with a valid UK driving licence since a company van is provided.

Role involves delivering preventative maintenance, fault finding, and report writing, with DBS check and occasional out-of-hours tasks.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential)
• City and Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation OR Plumbing
• City & Guilds Part 1 and 2 or ‘A’ and ‘B’. BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications,
• Conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM's
• Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance relating primarily to Mechanical Building Services Plant and System’s in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
• Maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of mechanical plant, working to current standards and the contract specification.
• Maintenance and monitoring of domestic hot and cold-water services - L8 awareness (domestic water systems).
• Submitting concise & accurate reports of work carried out & time spent on tasks.
• Ownership of site logbooks and record keeping for your designated sites.
• Providing details for further recommended works, including all the required information for office personnel to action.
• Support the wider team with out of hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
• The position is Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630 - Call Out Rota is 1 in 8

Summary

What we’re looking for

A Mechanical Technician working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service.

You will hold current qualifications to include

• Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential)
• City and Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation OR Plumbing
• A minimum of Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ‘A’ and ‘B’. BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications,
• Conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM's
• Driving Licence
