Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to support sites across South Wales and the South West on a permanent basis. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a company vehicle and benefits.

Typical duties include maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems, installation work, and ensuring certification is completed. You will manage paperwork in the CAFM system and contribute to on-call coverage as part of a diverse, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Gas/ Plumbing qualifications are essential for the role.
• DBS check may be required for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating/hot water systems and general plumbing.
• Carry out installation work and complete relevant certification.
• Work across multiple sites including South Wales, Bristol and surroundings.
• Complete required paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown tasks and log in CAFM system.
• Participate in on-call rota.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Mobile Mechanical/Heating Engineer to join our team working across South Wales and the South West on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

The majority of the work will be based in South Wales and the surrounding areas whilst also covering contracts in Bristol occasionally.

What will you deliver?

• Working on the following equipment but not limited to; Commercial Boilers, Associated Gas Equipment, Water Heaters, Water Supply etc.
• Maintenance and repair of heating/hot water systems and general plumbing
• Carry out Installation work and complete appropriate Certification
• Cover numerous sites that fall within the contract such as Stellantis, Guide Dogs, IOPC, ITV etc.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
• Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager. This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system
• Take part in the on call rota

Who are you?

• A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential
• Appropriate Plumbing Qualifications essential. Gas Safe Qualifications desirable
• C&G Level 2 in Plumbing or Gas. Ideally Level 3
• Must have a full drivers’ licence

This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
