CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to cover the West Midlands, performing planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings. The role sits on the Midlands Mobile contract, mainly in Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent, with coverage across the Midlands.

• A recognised industry qualification is required; previous experience is essential.
• C&G Level 3 Plumbing desirable.
• Must have a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical works in a commercial setting, including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems, and domestic hot/cold water systems.
• Cover numerous sites within the contract.
• Log start/wait/stop times and travel details in real time using the PDA; document work progress and evidence completion.
• Complete paperwork for PPM, reactive, and breakdown tasks and forward to the contract administrator.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
• Participate in the on-call rota.

Mobile Mechanical Engineer - £38,000 - £40,000 - West Midlands

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to cover West Midlands, carrying out planned and reactive commercial building maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings. The role is working on the Midlands Mobile contract. The majority of the work will be based in the West Midlands covering Birmingham and Stoke-on-Trent but it will also cover other parts of the Midlands.The successful candidate should have experience of mobile Mechanical Engineer positions in FM and have a strong understanding of servicing, repairing, and installing heating systems and plumbing works at various commercial properties.

This position would be ideal for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary in the region of up to £40,000 with a potential route into further career progression.

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out Mechanical works in a commercial setting, including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems etc.
• Cover numerous sites that fall within the contract
• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times
• Take part in the on call rota

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 - 17:00
• Call out (TBC)

• Salary of £40,000
