Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking a maintenance technician to perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical services across site operations. You will ensure adherence to health and safety standards, maintain records, and collaborate with the client and subcontractors to keep equipment reliable.

The role involves problem solving, fault diagnosis, and hands-on repairs across heating, ventilation, lighting and plumbing systems, with monthly site meetings and reports to monitor

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Parts/SVQ 2/3 in Service & Maintenance or recognized equivalent.
• Service & Maintenance Apprenticeship in building maintenance industry or equivalent.
• Health and Safety Awareness.
• GCSE (or 'O' Grade equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Experience in mechanical & electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM on electrical and mechanical systems per schedules.
• Adhere to HASAWA and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain accurate QA records and documentation for PPM and plant.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
• Coordinate initial actions for client requests.
• Coordinate visiting subcontractors for electrical and mechanical tasks.
• Respond to call-outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies.
• Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and repair equipment.
• Attend monthly site meetings and provide reports on work and equipment.
