Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile M&E Supervisor to oversee maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties, based in Bristol. You will lead a small team, coordinate PPMs and reactive work, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering high service standards.

The role requires strong M&E knowledge, fault-finding skills, and the ability to liaise with clients. A proactive supervisor who supports development and adheres to safety procedures will fit well.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial and domestic M&E systems.
• Ability to carry out PPMs to SFG20 or equivalent standards.
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience supervising reactive repairs and managing small projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 technicians, delivering service across all operations.
• Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), ensuring tasks meet SLA targets.
• Maintain backlog of PPM tasks and ensure reactive work is completed promptly.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams to maintain clear communication.
• Attend client calls and meetings, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Provide first-line management through performance reviews and development support.
• Carry out risk assessments, site log book and safety audits.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Mobile M&E Supervisor to oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial properties.

As a Mobile M&E Supervisor, you will combine strong technical knowledge with effective team leadership, ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and remedial works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will supervise engineers and subcontractors, provide technical support, liaise with clients and ensure buildings remain safe, compliant and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Mobile M&E Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and inspire a team of 3 technicians, ensuring excellent service delivery across all operations
• Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), ensuring tasks are completed on time and in line with SLA targets
• Maintain a manageable backlog of PPM tasks and ensure all reactive work is completed within acceptable timescales
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain clear communication and address any concerns or issues
• Attend client calls and meetings where required ensuring all follow-up actions are completed promptly
• Provide first-line management by conducting performance reviews, setting clear team objectives, and supporting individual development
• Carry out risk assessments, site log book and safety audits in compliance with safety legislation and company procedures

We're looking for a Mobile M&E Supervisor with a strong background in commercial building services and facilities maintenance.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong knowledge of both commercial and domestic systems
• Ability to carry out PPMs to SFG20 or equivalent standards
