Job summary

Riverside Housing Association in Guildford is seeking a Floating Support Worker on a fixed-term basis until 4 November 2026. The role involves visiting customers at Vaughan House and other properties, delivering structured support, managing risks, and helping people move toward tenancy independence.

You will need a full UK driving licence for travel to customer properties in the Guildford/ Surrey area, be resilient and empathetic, and able to work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
• Be a team player with a caring, empathetic, resilient and can-do attitude.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, including lived experience of homelessness or addiction.
• Ability to work flexible hours and lone working if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to customers and connect them with employability coaches and other services.
• Lead on co-producing bespoke support and move-on plans with stakeholders.
• Organise regular reviews of support and risk plans; respond to changes in a customer’s circumstances.
• Engage customers to meet outcomes and develop life skills.
• Assist customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters.
• Signpost to external support services and community resources.
• Support customers to be tenancy ready and financially independent.
• Record clear, accurate information on the local or digital platform.
