Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting a Floating Support Worker to provide flexible, person-centred support across dispersed accommodation in the Harlow and Epping area. The role requires a Full UK driving licence and 35 hours per week, with a temporary contract that has potential for permanent employment.

You will work with referral agencies, develop safety and support plans, and empower service users to achieve independent living skills while ensuring properties meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar role.
• Experience within housing support, social care or supported accommodation.
• Knowledge of support planning, safeguarding and independent living.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive and person-centred approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Ability to work independently across dispersed accommodation.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with referral agencies to support new referrals into the service.
• Develop and deliver tailored support and safety plans for service users.
• Maintain regular contact with service users in line with contractual requirements.
• Support individuals to identify and achieve their personal goals.
• Develop independent living skills, including support with domestic tasks and daily living.
• Ensure properties are well maintained and comply with relevant support agreements.
• Support effective rent collection and minimise void periods.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure support is delivered in line with service requirements.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
