Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions in the UK is seeking a Mobile Hire & Sales Coordinator to drive customer relationships and meet hire needs across multiple depots. The role covers Tilbury, Cardiff, Tewkesbury, Derby, Bury St Edmunds and Bournemouth with regular overnight stays.

You'll manage 40–50 hires daily and support stock and service delivery. Ideal candidates will have prior high-volume hire desk experience, strong customer service, and solid IT skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume hire desk role is essential.
• Excellent customer service with a focus on increasing sales.
• Effective communicator with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient IT skills with MS Office including Outlook and Excel.
• Full Driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Processing all hire desk administration including customer and supplier queries.
• Managing approx. 40-50 incoming and outgoing hires per day.
• Ensuring sufficient stock levels to meet customer demand and maximise sales opportunities.
• Load checking vehicles and working effectively with the depot team of drivers and fitters.
• Resolving customer complaints and supplier issues efficiently.

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

As the first point of contact at our depots, Hire & Sales Coordinators (HSC) play a pivotal role in driving our business' success, by building strong customer relationships, understanding their hire needs and ensuring we can meet them. The Mobile Hire & Sales Coordinator will provide holiday, absence and staff shortage cover at depots within the region.

This is a challenging, fast paced and rewarding role that provides a fantastic platform to grow and progress into management within GAP Group.

**Please note this is a mobile role covering between Tilbury, Cardiff, Tewkesbury, Derby, Bury St Edmunds & Bournemouth and so we are flexible on the suitable candidate's location. The role will involve regular overnight stays.
