Job summary

Octane Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle fleet business covering East London, Purfleet and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic field-based role allowing you to diagnose, service and repair HGVs at customer sites, with the option to work from the workshop when required.

The position offers a £45,000 basic salary plus a £1,500 joining bonus and overtime, with Monday to Friday days and no weekend work, along with a

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or City & Guilds / recognised apprenticeship).
• Must have a Full UK Class 1 HGV driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Able to pass employment vetting, including financial and criminal record checks.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Carry out inspections, maintenance and fault finding to manufacturer standards.
• Prepare commercial vehicles for MOT testing.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and legal requirements.
• Work on a fleet including Mercedes-Benz, Iveco and Ford.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Provide excellent customer service whilst working independently in the field.

Mobile HGV Technician Role

Mobile HGV Technician Requirements

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
