Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician/Mechanic in Thetford area to maintain and repair a range of commercial vehicles. You will work Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours, with overtime and a £1,500 joining bonus.

The role offers structured progression toward Master Technician status and a pension scheme. Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and have full Class 2 driving licenses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) required.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills with understanding of heavy vehicles.
• Customer service mindset and ability to work with fleet customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles.
• Work on leading manufacturers including Mercedes, Iveco, and Ford.
• Ensure vehicles meet high safety and quality standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections.
• Carry out mobile maintenance and repair activities.
• Support workshop operations when required.
• Work closely with an experienced and supportive team.

The Role

As an MobileHGV Technician / Mechanic, you will play a vital role in keeping commercial fleets operating safely and efficiently, while benefiting from industry-leading training and development.

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

• Full Class 2 UK, Irish, or EU Manual Driving Licence
