Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant to support school kitchens across the West Midlands, travelling between Stourbridge, Halesowen, Worcester and Solihull. This role offers term-time hours with travel between sites and no evenings, providing a balanced schedule for those who enjoy variety and teamwork.

You will assist with meal prep, service, and kitchen hygiene, supporting multiple school sites and adapting quickly to new environments. A driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.

As a Mobile Catering Assistant, you won't be based at just one school. Instead, you'll travel to support different school catering teams across Stourbridge, Halesowen, Worcester, and Solihull. You could be supporting a site for a single day, a week, or even a month, depending on business needs. This variety makes the role ideal for someone adaptable, proactive, and keen to broaden their experience across multiple sites.

• £13.20 per hour
• 20 hours per week
• Working pattern: Monday - Friday (10am - 2pm, must be flexible)
• Term Time only (39 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks)**
• This position requires and Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
• Mileage expenses: first 10.000 miles per miles 0.45pence miles, after it will be 0.25 pence per mile)

ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES ARE REIMBURSED Retention BONUS for all attached mobile roles – £200 on successful completion of 12 week probation, further £300 after 52 weeks complete employment in role.

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**
