Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time catering assistant to support our school kitchen in the Worcester area. You will prepare meals for pupils, keep work areas clean, and assist with deliveries. The role follows health and safety rules and operates within term-time hours.

The position requires a driving licence and own transport for site-to-site travel, with no unsociable hours and holidays off as stated. A supportive team environment and full training are provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle are required.
• Term-time only availability is expected.
• Experience in a kitchen or school catering environment is helpful but not essential.
• Willingness to follow food safety and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for the school team and pupils.
• Keep kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic.
• Support loading and unloading of deliveries and supplies.
• Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and operate equipment correctly.

Covering the Worcester area you will be contributing towards the smooth running of a fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye‑catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. • Prepare delicious meals for our school team and pupils.
• Keep the kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic always.
• Support the loading and unloading of supply and delivery vehicles.
• Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated correctly.
• Always uphold the reputation of the company., ALL TRAVEL EXPENSES ARE REIMBURSED Retention BONUS for all attached mobile roles - £200 on successful completion of 12 week probation, further £300 after 52 weeks complete employment in role. Have a great sense of teamwork.
• Show that you can adopt a dedicated and orderly approach.

• Show impeccable punctuality and dependability.
• Experience in a similar environment (helpful but not a deal breaker).
• Full UK Driving Licence required for this position and own vehicle required for this role as travel to a different site each day may be required.

• Full training and full protective uniform supplied., £13.00 per hour (mileage expenses: first 10.000 miles per miles 0.45pence miles, after it will be 0.25pence per mile)
• 20 hours per week
• Working pattern: Monday - Friday, 10am - 2pm
• Term Time only (39 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks)
