Job summary

Interaction Technical has partnered with a well-established Material Handling firm to hire a mobile forklift repair engineer. Based in Norwich, you will diagnose faults, service and repair plant and forklift machinery across UK sites, with a company van and door-to-door pay.

You will receive full training, overtime at 1.5x, 24 days leave plus holidays, and clear progression opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Plant or Forklift industries is essential.
• Hydraulics, mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair experience.
• NVQ/City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, service and repair plant and forklift machinery.
• Collaborate with customers on plant, lifting and handling products.
• Work independently at customer sites and document solutions.
• Travel to sites to carry out repairs and provide solutions.
• Work on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics with fault finding.

Job Role: Mobile Forklift Engineer

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 base (OTE £45,000+) - paid door to door

Hours: Monday-Friday #removed#:00 + Door to Door Paid + Overtime @ 1.5x

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The client:

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, growing Material Handling firm on their search for an experienced Mobile forklift repair engineer to join their growing team. Our client provides handling and access solution to firms all over the UK and have sites spread across all areas in the UK.

The package:

• 24 days annual leave + public holidays (32 days overall)

The Duties:

• Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on plant and forklift machinery.
• Collaborate with customers surrounding the plant, lifting and handling products.
• The ability to work independently within the customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
• Actively travelling to sites and carrying out repairs of the equipment and creating solutions.
• Working on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience working in the Plant or Forklift industries (essential)
• Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
• Experience working with engines and batteries (essential)
• Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
• Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• Full UK Drivers License
